Inside Journeyman Wireman:

The Inside Journeyman Wireman works on projects that go from the property line to the finished building installing all facets of the electrical requirements for structures. This classification also includes the Traffic Signal, Fire Alarm Systems, Energy Management Systems, and Solar Photovoltaic Systems.

 

Journeyman Inside Wireman must have the ability to start a job from the underground stage to the finished product. They shall have the ability to read schematics, Blueprints and identify the types of materials and tools needed to install any electrical equipment required. Inside Wireman must be able to lift 50 plus pounds and install that equipment safely. Be able to work off ladders, operate lifts, Zoom-booms, and all equipment required to install electrical equipment.

 

Journeyman Inside Wireman work with others and at times train apprentices when they are partnered with one. It is the responsibility of all IBEW members to act in a professional manner at all times and to obey all safety standards set by OSHA. Be able to install all electrical work according to the National Electrical Code. Also be able to identify installations that are not to code, repair those installations or notify the foreman prior to installation of any violations.

 

To join the IBEW team as a Inside Journeyman Wireman you need the following information. Five (5) years proof of working in the Electrical Industry with a wide variety of experience.
